“FUEL
DREAMS, FUND FUTURES: JOIN UNIVITA’S MISSION TO TRANSFORM YOUNG LIVES”
As we step into 2025, we are filled with
excitement and determination to strengthen the foundation we’ve built and
expand our reach to deepen our impact. Guided by our vision of empowering youth
and building resilient communities, we are committed to creating meaningful
change through education, skills empowerment, and community upliftment.
Expanding Educational Opportunities
We are committed to deepening our impact by
expanding our reach through the Department of Education and partnering with 25
schools across Soweto. In collaboration with the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation,
we will empower learners at both primary and high school levels, unlocking
their full potential and paving the way for a brighter future. These
partnerships are more than just programs—they are about nurturing leadership,
critical thinking, and entrepreneurial spirit to inspire a generation of future
changemakers.
For primary school learners, the journey
begins with introducing the Primary Champions 2D Game. This innovative
initiative is designed to inspire curiosity and equip young minds with
leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a way that is fun,
interactive, and memorable. By bringing learning to life, we aim to nurture a
new generation of confident and capable learners who are ready to take on the
world.
High school learners, on the other hand,
will benefit from a multifaceted approach that prepares them for the challenges
and opportunities of the future. Through the Allan Gray Fellowship Programme,
learners will access tertiary bursaries and entrepreneurship development
opportunities, giving them the tools they need to succeed academically and
beyond. To further cultivate entrepreneurial thinking, the High School
Entrepreneurship 2D Game will immerse learners in a dynamic environment where
they can explore real-world business challenges and innovative solutions. By
collaborating closely with the Department of Education, schools, and other key
stakeholders, we aim to create lasting partnerships that strengthen the
foundation of education in South Africa.
Fighting Hunger, Building Community
Hunger is a daily reality for many in our
communities, but we believe no one should face it alone. We’ll launch UniKit, a
monthly or bi-monthly food kitchen initiative. In partnership with local
businesses, shopping centers, churches, and venues like BlueRoom Pub &
Grill, UniKit will provide warm, nourishing meals to those in need. Beyond
food, it’s about fostering care, connection, and unity. With each meal served,
we aim to fight food insecurity and build stronger, more compassionate
communities—one plate at a time.
2025 will be a year of consolidation,
growth, and innovation. By focusing on strengthening the foundation of our
existing programs, expanding our partnerships, and aligning our efforts with
key stakeholders, we are poised to create lasting change. We remain dedicated
to influencing systems, addressing the root causes of inequities, and fostering
environments where young individuals can thrive. Through collaboration,
innovation, and strategic alignment, we believe we can shape a brighter and
more equitable future for South Africa's youth
